Description

Station WAFB is currently seeking to fill the following full-time employment opening:

 

Investigative Lead Producer

 

WAFB-TV, the dominant CBS station in Baton Rouge is looking for an aggressive Investigative Lead Producer to oversee our investigative reporting efforts.  Must have a proven track record of breaking big enterprise stories on TV and on digital, including examples of exposing government waste, holding the powerful accountable, and the ability to simplify complex stories. Experience in investigative reporting and/or producing is preferred.  This position requires line-producing our 6pm newscast two days per week and filling in on other newscasts when needed.

 

 Qualified candidates will have the ability to quickly develop contacts and sources, work with a team of professionals, and adhere to strict ethical standards.  Must have previous experience with or ability to quickly learn the process of filing FOIA requests and computer-assisted reporting.  Candidate will also have the ability to quickly turn investigative sidebars on big stories.
