Job Summary/Description:

WVUE, FOX 8 in New Orleans is looking for creative, aggressive and visual Photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of America’s most exciting cities and a great news town. If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this is the job for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

– Responsible for gathering video, sound and stills for all FOX 8 multimedia platforms
– Edit video and sound for all multimedia platforms
– You will be responsible for maintaining assigned gear
– Operating ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)
– Post on all FOX 8 digital platforms
– Use Skype/other mobile live devices
– Drive a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years news photography. Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours. Strong analytical and problem solving skills needed, writing skills a plus. Pre-employment drug test required. No phone calls please. EOE-M/F/D/V
