KADN News15, the FOX and NBC affiliate in Lafayette, LA is looking for a Weekend Anchor/MMJ to join our team in telling the stories of the region, anchoring newscasts, and focusing on all that makes Lafayette one of the most interesting and fun places anywhere.
The Principal Duties and Responsibilities of our Weekend Anchor/Reporter include but are not limited to the following:
Anchor and produce weekend evening newscasts.
Shoot, write and edit stories as assigned.
Be available to anchor other newscasts, anchor breaking news cuts-ins, and from the field on major events as the need arises.
Proofread and correct scripts from reporters and others prior to air and prior to publishing on web sites, Facebook, etc.
Receive and answer phone calls from viewers in a professional manner.
Represent the station at community events.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (subject to any medical or religious accommodations or other applicable law).
