About KSLA:

KSLA is the local CBS affiliate within Shreveport that supports viewers across the Northern Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana area with the station located in Shreveport, Louisiana. We also are affiliates for Circle, Bounce, GRIT, and DABL. We support the local area with daily news as well as a strong presence on over-the-top streaming services and on our digital web. Viewership is strong across over 300,000 households and continues to grow at a good pace. We have recently just expanded our technology to encompass news production automation to ensure that our local news continues to be a strong leader in our viewing area.

Job Summary/Description:

The IT Engineer will support the station in most IT related duties. Server maintenance and installations, managed switch support and installs, help desk requests, local phone exchange support and as needed broadcast support requests are some of the expectations of the job. Assisting the Chief Engineer in computer needs for desktop and server be it rebuilding a hard drive or imaging a new computer. They will also be providing input toward future computing requirements as requested from both corporate as well as the Chief Engineer.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

> Should be familiar with supporting Windows operating systems, LINUX operating systems and Apple operating systems.
> Should be familiar with supporting non-linear video/audio editing software (Adobe, OBS, GV Edius).
> Add/remove/modify employees to local Active Directory as well as work within corporate guidelines for said employees.
> General upkeep of server systems (CISCO nodes, The Weather Company, BitCentral, ENPS) as well as router/switch systems (CISCO, Ubiquiti).
> Work with vendors on supporting above server systems in addition to requests for assistance down to the desktop level.
> Support broadcast equipment as requested by station personnel and/or the Chief Engineer
> Support local phone exchange system (add/remove phones, manage voicemail, etc.)
> Work within set deadlines for projects as indicated from the Chief Engineer and/or corporate requests.

Qualifications/Requirements:

> The applicant should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
> The applicant should have an applicable college degree with specializations in Computer Sciences or Engineering or have comparable work experience (minimum of 3 years working within this field of expertise) . Previous television broadcast experience preferred.
> The applicant must have a valid drivers license
