High School Radio Project

The High School Radio Project (HSRP) allows students from schools around the state to gain hands-on experience in programming and on-air work for streaming radio stations, producing hours of radio programming in a matter of minutes.

What is the High School Radio Project

  • The Highs School Radio Project (HSRP) introduces careers in radio and audio to high school students through real-world application via online streaming radio stations.
  • The LAB loans out the equipment on a semester basis to Louisiana schools, free of cost. The school only need to provide a working computer and computer monitor.
  • The equipment and internet software show students how to set up and broadcast their own online radio station for the school year.

We bring the radio station to your classroom, allowing your students to develop real-world skills by producing the content that plays on our streaming station. The Louisiana Association of Broadcasters loans state-of-the art software equipment to schools on a rotating basis. This equipment is used by successful radio stations and major corporations across the nations.
